This course equips officers with the knowledge, skills, and mindset necessary to respond effectively to active shooter incidents in dynamic, high-stress environments. Participants will engage in intensive hands-on training, real-world scenario-based drills, and critical decision-making exercises designed to simulate the complexities of rapidly evolving threats. The course emphasizes immediate solo and team entry tactics, threat identification and engagement, communication under stress, and coordination with responding units. Instructors draw on real-world operational experience to teach best practices for room clearing, hallway movement, casualty management, and incident command considerations under fire. Officers will also undergo stress inoculation and after-action review protocols to reinforce readiness and resilience.
