High Angle Tactical was born from firsthand experience and a shared commitment to raising the standard in tactical training. Founded by seasoned professionals with careers in military service, law enforcement, and academy instruction, our company was created to fill a critical gap: the need for real-world, scenario-driven training that actually prepares students for what they’ll face in the field.
What started as collaboration between a CTE instructor and a patrol deputy quickly evolved into a trusted training resource for those who serve. We’ve taught active shooter response, CQB, tactical medicine, and night vision tactics—all with one goal in mind: giving our students the confidence and competence to act decisively under pressure.
At High Angle Tactical, we don’t do cookie-cutter training. Every course is designed with realism, safety, and performance in mind. We believe in training that challenges, empowers, and ultimately saves lives.

Adam Demarest
Founder & CEO
Adam Demarest is a co-founder and CEO of High Angle Tactical LLC, bringing over 20 years of combined experience in the military, law enforcement, and tactical instruction. A US Army Combat Infantryman, a retired Police Instructor and current CTE Law Enforcement Instructor, Adam is passionate about delivering mission-ready, scenario-based training that emphasizes safety, precision, and real-world survivability.

Beyond the tactical world, Adam is a dedicated husband to Sarah Demarest, a fellow law enforcement professional and U.S. Navy Chief. Adam’s life is grounded in mentorship and the belief that every person deserves the tools to survive and thrive, whether in the field or at home.

Noah Tamulonis
Founder & CTO
Noah Tamulonis is the Co-Owner and Chief Training Officer at High Angle Tactical LLC, with a strong background in patrol operations and tactical response. A dedicated law enforcement professional, Noah brings firsthand experience and a practical mindset to every training scenario, emphasizing realism, officer safety, and critical decision-making under pressure.
Noah proudly continues a long family tradition of public service—his father, grandfather, and grandmother each served faithfully in law enforcement, instilling in him a deep respect for the profession and its responsibilities. That legacy fuels his commitment to training the next generation of officers and prepared citizens with the skills they need to survive and thrive in high-stress environments.

Sarah Demarest
Vice President of Operations
Sarah Demarest brings 18 years of distinguished service as a U.S. Navy Master-at-Arms and currently serves as a Chief Petty Officer (MAC) within Naval Security Forces. Throughout her career, she has led security units, mentored junior sailors, and fiercely advocated for victims of sexual violence and disadvantaged youth. Her experience includes instructing at the Virginia Commonwealth Youth Challenge, where she helped rehabilitate teen violent offenders through a structured, military-style environment.

In addition to her professional achievements, Sarah is a devoted wife to Adam Demarest and a proud mother of 7.
As Vice President of Operations for High Angle Tactical LLC, Sarah blends her operational expertise with a heart for mentorship and family, helping guide the organization with integrity, discipline, and purpose.

Rodney Gerald
Lead Firearms Instructor
Rodney Gerald is a U.S. Marine Corps and Army Reserve veteran, Global War on Terrorism veteran, and recipient of the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. He began his law enforcement career in 2001 and has served as a Police Sniper, Firearms Instructor, and Crisis Intervention Team member. Currently the Patrol Sergeant at Holden PD, Rod is the department’s lead firearms instructor and a seasoned survival skills expert. A strong advocate for veterans and first responders, he is active in regional peer support teams and local support networks. Rod is a dedicated husband, father, and lifelong public servant.

Whether it’s patrol-level tactics, firearms proficiency, or scenario-based training, our cadre is driven by one mission: to prepare you for the fight before it finds you.
Tactical Medicine
Cody Smith
Cody brings over 15 years of Fire and EMS experience and currently serves as a Deputy Chief within Maine’s first integrated Fire and EMS District. A certified Paramedic and Firefighter I & II, Cody also holds advanced rescue credentials in high and low angle operations, ice and swift water rescue, confined space, and hazardous materials at the technician level.
A U.S. Marine Corps veteran, Cody served as a Hunter-Killer Team Leader and Demolitions Technician with the Combined Anti-Armor Team (CAAT). He completed three overseas deployments and specialized in breaching, room clearing, anti-armor tactics, and instruction on USMC infantry weapon systems. Cody has led training for partner nation forces in urban, woodland, and desert operations and completed advanced programs including TCCC, Sapper School, and jungle warfare.
Cody’s blend of tactical precision, rescue expertise, and combat leadership makes him a vital asset to High Angle Tactical LLC’s instructional team.

Noah Burr
Noah Burr has served in fire and EMS since 2017, continuing a family legacy of public service inspired by his father, a local EMT. Currently holding the rank of Assistant Fire Chief, Noah brings calm leadership and deep field experience to every call.

A Nationally Registered Paramedic and certified CPR Instructor through the American Heart Association, Noah is especially passionate about training. He actively mentors junior EMS personnel and leads trauma-focused medical instruction for local special response teams (SRT), ensuring responders are equipped to handle high-stress medical emergencies with confidence.
Known for his hands-on leadership and quiet professionalism, Noah is committed to building a capable, resilient fire and EMS team ready to meet the needs of their community.
Tactical Medicine
Josh McNally
Josh is a seasoned firefighter–paramedic with over 25 years of service in fire and EMS. Raised in Aroostook County, Josh grew up with a strong sense of community and service—values that continue to shape his leadership today. His career includes time as a Critical Care Paramedic for LifeFlight of Maine, delivering advanced care in remote and high-stress environments, as well as leadership roles in both Island Falls and Howland, where he was appointed Fire Chief in 2016.

Currently, Josh leads regional emergency services across eight towns and more than 250 square miles, addressing rural staffing challenges through collaboration and operational efficiency. Certified in Firefighter I & II and Paramedicine, he’s known for his steady, hands-on leadership and commitment to sustainable, community-driven public safety.
A passionate educator, Josh takes pride in mentoring the next generation of emergency responders. He has trained countless law enforcement officers and EMS providers over the years, always ready to share his experience with those looking to grow in the field of emergency medicine.
Off duty, Josh reconnects with his roots in the Maine woods. A true outdoorsman, he enjoys hunting, fishing, and trapping, embracing the land and traditions that have been part of his life since childhood.
Tactics and Wellness​
Kevin Demmons
Officer Kevin Demmons is a law enforcement officer with the Holden Police Department.
A U.S. Army Combat Infantryman. Deployed to Afghanistan From 2011 to 2012 as a paratrooper, where he operated as a security element for a sniper team. He later served as a squad leader at Fort Richardson, Alaska, leading a team through ambush tactics and both direct and indirect fire missions.
​
Since 2022, Kevin has served as a patrol officer with Newport PD and Holden PD. A certified instructor in several critical areas, Kevin holds Instructor credentials in MARC, Taser, OC/Baton, and Active Shooter Response. He is a Field Training Officer (FTO) and Physical Training (PT) Tester through the Maine Criminal Justice Academy (MCJA).
Additionally, Kevin holds Level 1 and 2 certifications in Knife Control Concepts and has contributed to MCJA curriculum development related to edged weapon defense and weapon entanglements.

Outside of uniformed service, Kevin has trained extensively in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts for nearly a decade, continuously refining his approach to defensive tactics and combatives.

His unique combination of combat-proven military leadership, front-line law enforcement experience, and deep commitment to realistic training methodologies makes Kevin a respected and capable instructor, passionate about preparing officers for the physical and mental demands of the profession.
